Water, water, everywhere…
I had a post planned for today about how nuts I am about sewing baby clothes—you should see the wee little blouse I made last night!
But you guys, this storm is no joke. That right there is a beach that I’ve been going to for my entire life. My grandparents had a house in Ocean City, NJ and now my parents live there full time. The town is a sweet barrier island below Atlantic City that is surrounded on all sides by water.
And now, from what I can tell from the horrifying photos online, the entire island is either already under water or will be soon.
It’s hard to believe, it’s incredibly sad, and it seems like this is the case in town after town after city on the East Coast today. I am having a hard time believing it but I can feel in the pit of my stomach that it’s true. So, I keep reminding myself that my parents are safe, a house is just a house, and this too shall (eventually) pass.
To all of my NJ/NY/PA friends and family, please be careful and be safe.
xoxo

Oh no – Amy, I’m so sorry about your family home. I keep trying to remind myself that stuff is just stuff and that we’ll weather the next few days, but it’s not easy.
It’s pretty hard to wrap your head around it but all the stuff can be replaced. There are so many people impacted- I just hope most people evacuated! I hope you guys are safe too:)
