Pick up the latest copy of Better Homes and Gardens for some easy tips on making a prettier bed (and for some really yummy looking healthy recipes!). I wrote up this story a few months ago and I love everything about the mix-and-match style of that bed. And also the wall!
I recently worked on this story for Parents.com to help parents of little ones tackle the sometimes loaded issue of starting solids. We share 5 super accessible foods to start Baby Led Weaning (if you choose to go that route over purees) and share tips about food prep and serving sizes.
Check out the full slideshow on Parents.com right here.
If you're in need of a few last minute gift ideas—or want some gift ideas to tuck away for the rest of the year—check out the latest issue of Do It Yourself. I loved working on this story because, let's face it, making pretty things is a really fun way to spend a day! But also, crafting works a different part of my brain than writing or recipe development does, so it's always a joy to get to be creative in that way.
These pages are just a peak at the projects included in the story so be sure to look for the issue on newsstands now!
Head to your newsstand now—especially if you are in the midst of deciding which health plan to go with for next year—and pick up a copy of the November issue of Real Simple. I have my first byline for the magazine sharing advice from experts on how to make the most of your benefits, including medical, your 401k, and all of the other perks you may not even realize are available for the taking.
Last week I shared a really fun and super easy Halloween breakfast on the Honest Company blog. I have to admit that creating this sort of "fun" food is not something that I ever thought I'd do as part of my job, but it's a really fun challenge! The post had almost 4,500 likes on their Instagram page and was one of the most popular things that I've ever shared on my Yummy Toddler Food page, so clearly playing with our food in this way is something that appeals to many moms—though I think the easy factor was pretty key!
A while back, before there was a hint of fall in the air, I developed a handful of recipes for the current issue of Publix Family Style. There are delicious pie recipes, new ways with Thanksgiving staples, and quick weeknight meals. If you live near a Publix, pick up a copy (that pie on the cover is worth it alone!)
I worked on a decorating story with a team of other talented women for the latest issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It's filled with easy ways to incorporate plants into a reading space, along with product tips for budget to higher end finds. Look for it on a newsstand near you.
The next time you're by a magazine stand, check out the latest issue of Better Homes and Gardens. I have two stories inside—both of which I started working on a whole year ago—that I'm really proud of. This feature is a girls party with stylist Ruthie Lindsay and there's another front of book story on Aimee Wimbush Bourque and her pickling techniques. Check it out!
