I shared a post over on the Honest Company blog this week featuring these super yummy Smoothie Bowls. We've had a load of sickness in our house the past two months—which is one of the main downsides of daycare!—and this sort of simple breakfast has been helping us to feel a little bit better.

Find the recipe for these Smoothie Bowls here.

The Kitchn: Feeding Your Toddler Series

January 28, 2016 Amy Palanjian
New work on the kitchn

I had my first posts go live on The Kitchn this week, which is one of my very favorite food sites, and I loved getting to share a few thoughts about feeding toddlers with a new audience. You can see all of the posts under my author page here, but the topics range from the one thing I've done to relax about my daughter's sugar intake, to why I don't call her picky, and stress-free tips for eating out with little ones.

Find the links to the full posts right here.

DIY Winter 2015, Gifts Under $10

DIY gifts under $10

If you're in need of a few last minute gift ideas—or want some gift ideas to tuck away for the rest of the year—check out the latest issue of Do It Yourself. I loved working on this story because, let's face it, making pretty things is a really fun way to spend a day! But also, crafting works a different part of my brain than writing or recipe development does, so it's always a joy to get to be creative in that way.

These pages are just a peak at the projects included in the story so be sure to look for the issue on newsstands now!

The Honest Company, October 2015

Halloween Toasts

Last week I shared a really fun and super easy Halloween breakfast on the Honest Company blog. I have to admit that creating this sort of "fun" food is not something that I ever thought I'd do as part of my job, but it's a really fun challenge! The post had almost 4,500 likes on their Instagram page and was one of the most popular things that I've ever shared on my Yummy Toddler Food page, so clearly playing with our food in this way is something that appeals to many moms—though I think the easy factor was pretty key!

Family Style cover

A while back, before there was a hint of fall in the air, I developed a handful of recipes for the current issue of Publix Family Style. There are delicious pie recipes, new ways with Thanksgiving staples, and quick weeknight meals. If you live near a Publix, pick up a copy (that pie on the cover is worth it alone!)

Girls Night Outside

The next time you're by a magazine stand, check out the latest issue of Better Homes and Gardens. I have two stories inside—both of which I started working on a whole year ago—that I'm really proud of. This feature is a girls party with stylist Ruthie Lindsay and there's another front of book story on Aimee Wimbush Bourque and her pickling techniques. Check it out!
