Our new issue of FamilyFun is out and it's such a great way to get ready for fall with the kids. I worked on a few stories that I wanted to share, including some recipe development work on changing up classic fish sticks.
And I wanted to share a peek at a few craft stories that I worked on as the editor, with my talented team of crafters.
Late last winter, I had the pleasure of developing and producing a handmade gifts story for this year's special holiday issue of Better Homes and Garden's Do It Yourself. Each gift comes together in less than an hour (and most are much faster to make than that!) and are simple ways to spread a little holiday joy. Look for the issue, which is packed with holiday ideas for decorating, entertaining, and gift giving, on newsstands this fall.
I've written a lot of nutrition stories for the B3 Magazine over the past year, but this one is a recent favorite as we're expecting temperatures to climb here shortly.
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to develop 6 recipes for the May issue of Delicious Living designed for expecting and new mamas. There are recipes to enjoy throughout the day and each one is totally family-approved, but packed with nutrients that mamas need.

I recently spent a month testing out the leading brands of eco-friendly diapers with my baby and the results are up over on Organic Life. I love these sorts of in depth product testing stories, so this was both really interesting and very useful.

I have a batch of recipes in the latest issue of Delicious Living, which you can usually find on your way into your favorite health food or gourmet grocery store. I love working with this client and can't wait to share a few more assignments that I have in the works with them.

I wrote a post for The Kitchn with one of my habits related to talking about food and the rush of dietary changes in the air this month. I'm all for eating better and taking positive steps to improve our health, but I do think that it's important to remember that how we talk about those changes can also have a big impact.

Arguably the best part of Christmas morning for my husband is the kolaches, and while I came to them later in life—I come from a big Italian family who loves their Panettone—I now love them. And I love that they are a tradition that our girls will grow up with too.
I shared our family recipe on the Kitchn and I hope you enjoy them too. (P.S. This dough is amazing for rolls!)
I worked on this guide to The Best Slippers for The Sweet Home a while back, but it seems like a perfect time to share it here—it's going to be -10 here tomorrow night! I have a fun post up on the Honest Company's blog this week with easy toasts to make for the holidays. I've been having a lot of fun making non-sweet holiday treats and these are a nice break from all of the cookies that seem to be ubiquitous at this time of the year.

Since having a baby in the spring, I've really streamlined things in the kitchen. I wanted to share some of our current favorite recipes—which are perfect for the adults and the sometimes finicky little eaters in your house—in a brand new recipe collection called Yummy Family Food. It's a quarterly cookbook that is available in digital and printed magazine forms and it's filled with fast, easy, and easy to customize recipes that even the littlest eaters can enjoy. Which means less time cooking and happier meals!

In the latest issue of Do It Yourself (which has the mostly lovely cover, right?) I have a new decorating story. It was so fun to learn more about the mind behind this creative space and to hear about how she put that stunning herringbone wall together. Check out the whole issue on newsstands now!
In the current issue of Midwest Living, there's a lovely story about a Minneapolis florist and the workshops that they hold in their new studio. I loved getting to chat with Jackie about the event and her flower philosophy—and to see her gorgeous work.

There's a new entertaining magazine on newsstands now from Better Homes and Gardens that includes a tomato tasting party that I helped create projects for and style. I loved working on this story because the projects were simple, yet pretty, and we got to rely on fresh summer herbs for much of the color and beauty.
I also got to borrow an impressive collection of blue mason jars from a local vintage shop, which turned out to pair wonderfully with nasturtiums and the herbs,
